Maarten Vandewaerde

Maarten Vandewaerde is a doctoral researcher at the KIZOK Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Hasselt University, Belgium), where he is a member of the corporate governance and accountancy research team. His main research interest within this broad field involves the board of directors, a topic in which he focuses on the team dynamics that take place among directors. He has a particular interest in board leadership and has recently published a paper on shared leadership within the boardroom in Journal of Business Ethics. He is also co-author of a book on corporate governance in family firms.
